Welcome to the P7 class page. Our class Teacher is Mrs O'Connor. Our Classroom Assistants are Mrs Burns, Mrs Lawn and Mrs Love.
Here we will have updates on what we have been getting up to each term.
In term 1, we have really enjoyed being back together as a straight P7 class.
Our topic this term has been WW2. We have enjoyed learning about the war, countries associated with it and all the cross curricular links that have came along the way.
We have enjoyed spending time with our buddies also.
This term we are spending more time outdoors on Wellness Walks.

We enjoyed having a cuppa and a chat at the Coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Roald Dahl Day
To celebrate Roald Dahl day, we spent time with our buddies from P1/P2. We designed dream jars like Sophie's in the BFG.
National Coding Week
To celebrate National Coding week, we used the Earl devices to code answers for Mental Maths challenges. The children enjoyed this practical task in the sunshine!

Leaver's Assembly
Well done to the P7 class on all they have achieved this year. At the leaver's assembly, the boys and girls recalled their favourite memories of St Martin's. We also took a trip down memory lane, looking at photographs from throughout their time in St Martin's. Congratulations to the boys and girls who received awards on the night. Thank you for all your hard work in P7. We wish you lots of luck in your new school!!
Cycling Proficiency
Well done to the P7 children who participated in the Cycling Proficiency Scheme. Safe cycling!!
Football Blitzes
What a busy year for football blitzes for P6/P7. The girls made it to the finals of the indoor and outdoor 7 aside tournaments. Both the boys and girls reached the finals of the 9 aside league and were successful in Brewster Park. What a proud moment for the school that both teams were Division 3 League champions!!
Problem Solving Maths
P6 and P7 have enjoyed developing their problem solving skills this year with practical maths tasks and groupwork activities.
World Book Day - 7th March 2024
We celebrated World Book Day this year by dressing up as book characters and designing book characters using toilet tube rolls. It is great to see how creative the class can be!!
We enjoyed reading with our buddies also. We love spending time with them!!
Christmas 2023
We have enjoyed the build up to Christmas this year. We took part in the Santa Mile, celebrated our friend Gerry's birthday, Christmas dinner day, posted our Santa letters and enjoyed a buddy day with the P1s. We played festive games such as Christmas Charades, 'Shoveling snow', musical statues, art and festive PE.
Our WAU topic this term is the Stone Age. We have been busy building replicas of Stone Henge.
